About the Book
Conversations With Kids Ages 3 to 6
I created these bed time books to assist busy adults in creating a quiet time of communication with children. With my own children, I found that bed time can instill a feeling of calmness and assurance for children to express themselves. I created my books to enhance this special time of day. My books are appropriate for boys and girls. There are no gender differences when expressing feelings, as we are all humans and feelings are common to us all.
My experience in parenting taught me that children feel secure in the daily routines that are a part of family life. My books are ideal in providing a framework for that routine at bedtime which fosters open and honest communication. The sense of security and trust that is developed can form the foundations for satisfying and life long relationships.
About the Book
Conversations With Kids Ages 7 to 10
The Joanne Faye Lovey Quilt is introduced in Conversations With Kids Ages 7 to 10 and is designed to illustrate how our lives are connected to one another. Each square of this colorful quilt represents a loved one or a friend. The pieces, connected together, represent the unique story of each child. Joanne Faye also believes that the Quilt provides an opportunity for adults to assist children to visualize how our lives are interwoven with each other and when kindness is expressed to one, it is expressed to all. The Quilt can also illustrate to children the strength that we have when we are connected and supporting one another.
The illustrator, Lynn Louise Reynolds, was able to create what Joanne Faye envisioned with the Joanne Faye Lovey Quilt and is so well illustrated in the book. Lynn and her mother also sewed the original Joanne Faye Lovey Quilt.
